Dang, that looked like 2+ companies worth of Abrams - I counted 29 of them.
Reminds me of the time years ago when I was driving by the Wichita Mts Wildlife Refuge next to Ft. Sill. I was on a two-lane highway, and as I came around a bend in the road, I was stopped by MP’s who had two pickup...
This. With a few exceptions, firearms as a whole aren’t where the investment dollars can work best.
Now, in a societal collapse, firearms will be worth their weight in gold - or whatever you feel is more useful to barter for. Firewood, chickens, water filtration equipment, etc…
I do a fair bit of woodworking, and Dakota is my go-to for hardwood lumber. Haven’t gotten any plywood from them, but I stick with real 5’ x 5’ Baltic birch plywood from M&M Lumber for that purpose. Very pricey, but worth it compared to the usual cabinet-grade plywood that’s available...
I agree, with that many rounds spent and you need more, you’re in over your head. BTW, you can get a 20-round drum mag for the Saiga - no need to fiddle with spinning tubes or reloads for that many rounds.
I know some people will drool over a shotgun that looks like it came off the movie set...
No kidding. I remember when I was a kid, visiting a friend of mine one day while his dad was setting up a secondhand wood lathe in their garage. He mounted the lathe on a card table, chucked up a wood blank, and started the lathe. The blank was a tad off-center, and the lathe and table...
I wonder why manufacturers don’t spend more time on mag-fed semi-auto shotguns. Those just seem a lot more practical than rotating mag tubes, and the overall package would be a lot more compact. Tromix S12 Saiga, anyone?
I missed this thread first time around. I was at a conference in NE Georgia the day it happened, but I had no idea and was wondering why people at the conference were asking me if I worked in the Federal building in OKC. Finally figured it out, and went to my room at lunchtime to turn on the...
And yet, here we are with court cases like Britto v. ATF, Mock v. Garland, VanDerStok v. Garland, etc…. Chevron deference has got to be curtailed severely and posthaste.
Up for sale is a Frontier Armory side-charging AR upper with an 8” barrel in 10mm. Here’s the FA page with the specs (scroll halfway down for the 8” model):

I ordered one from them on sale for $342.99, but have...
At this point, the key phrase in this (unconstitutional) rule is “make a profit.” For us Joe Blows who buy a firearm, own/shoot it a while, then sell it for less than what we paid for it - in other words, take a financial loss - the (unconstitutional) rule should not apply. IANAL, but that’s...
Just like with the recent ATF rules regarding 80% lowers and pistol braces…
… the Dems don’t care. Until it looks like SCOTUS will rule against them.
Then they’ll just figure out workarounds, like in CA and NY.
