Wow...well, that's certainly one way to go about it. I think I would have a very hard time voluntarily giving up my place at the top of the food chain even during the toughest of times.
By all means get the Ruger. Ruger rimfires are darn hard to beat, and if there's a handgun out there that's more hassle-free fun than my Mk III, I've yet to see it. Mine is the talo distributors one with a 5" bull barrel and hiviz sights.
One caveat:
Just be sure to stock up on...
Baker,
I work near Forward Foods, and make dinner of a Farrel baguette and olive oil from there far more than I'd care to admit. I'm a huge fan of authentic old world style bread, and it's not always easy to find. Great stuff, keep it up!
Any plans for a retailer in Edmond soon, by any...
Wow, I had no idea that food coop existed. Are you a member? If so, does the system work well and is it worth joining?
I'd be all about a regular supply of local meat and produce.
Well, I should have provided context.
I was a clerk at a liquor store, and he was a particularly grumpy old drunk. It wasn't an ordinary well-adjusted individual.
He kind of gave me a cross-eyed grumble and yelled "it's 'Merry Christmas'! I celebrate Christmas!" before storming out...
I did have a guy explode on me for saying "Happy Holidays" once while the "War on Christmas" thing was going full steam ahead a few years ago (and only because there were multiple upcoming holidays, and I genuinely hoped he would not have his sanctity violated by a pack of rabid goats or...
I posted here a while back after being taken to the cleaners.
What got me was failing to re-check windows I never use after the bad hail storm last year. I didn't think we had any breaks, but the glass guy working for the property company found a cracked window and replaced the glass without...
Sounds very cool. What'd you cut the barrel to?
My brand new, unfired project 10FP got stolen a couple of weeks ago. Very, very angry about it. :explode:
I'm glad I'm not the only one who was shooting a bit off at first. I've gotten a lot better, and I think what gets me is the contour beneath the trigger rubbing against my finger causing some slight muzzle movement.
Aside from getting used to the trigger, I've been extremely happy with...
Disregard this if I'm remembering wrong, but it seems like a while back somebody was selling an HK45 in the Classifieds because they bought it to design a holster and didn't need it anymore. Was that you guys, and if so, do you offer a HK45 holster in the regular lineup as a result of the...
I appreciate the kind words, everyone.
Well, I think I know who did it, but don't have enough evidence for the police to justify questioning him or doing much besides adding it to the report.
Yep, this is a special kind of frustrating.
Lesson learned, I guess. :punch: And thanks to...
Well folks, looks like my number was up.
I was burglarized the night before last, and lost 9 rifles (all bolt action) worth a nontrivial amount of money, a few of which were family heirlooms with enormous sentimental value that absolutely cannot be replaced.
Never let your guard down, folks...
Double action leaves a lot to be desired for the price. There may even be a LEM variant available now. Single action is not bad, but the take up could be shorter IMO. Reliability, accuracy, ergonomics, fit and finish, and everything else save the lack of true night sights are absolutely...
I wouldn't blink if friggin' Nabisco released an AR-15 at this point, so the new wave of 1911's isn't too surprising. It's neat to see Ithica release one.
Seems like a nice pistol, but I really don't care for all the jeweling. I'd probably go Wilson or Nighthawk for that kind of money, but...
Turkey.
Stoeger is a Beretta subsidiary, so it's not like this is a cheap clone or something. I've heard they literally moved the machinery and tooling to Turkey and started making the exact same thing there to reintroduce the gun at a much better price (labor and operational costs are...
It seems like I read that Stoeger is going to roll out the .45 version sometime soon (their site talks like it's out, so not sure on availability). It should be identical aside from the markings, like the 9mm and 40 are. No need to find a discontinued Beretta if you want one.
They are...
Amazing pics folks, thanks for sharing!
SO very disappointed I wasn't able to get away for the day and make it to the shoot. Life happens unfortunately. :nono2:
That seems like a really good deal. I payed a bit too much for a 556 Classic during the panic like an idiot (this was before the 522 was even released, so no freebie).
I've been really happy with my 556. It gets way more trigger time than my AR. It's extremely accurate and reliable, and a...
I've done a couple of special order items and standard transfers through xSMOKExLESSxCRACKx on this forum (FFL who works out of his house). Great to deal with and prices wound up being very decent on both special order items, too.
