That looks very much like the first fish I ever caught. I was 3 or 4 yrs old, fishing with Grandpa at Mountain Lake.
Over the next 80+ yrs, every time I’ve caught one, and there have been many, I think of that first one.

In the interest of transparency, I’m a Poke. Having said that, I’m here to tell you that something is missing in the telling. If this had taken place in Stillwater, I’d be demanding answers. Might not get them, but I’d make noise.
