This has been a weird year. Late frost, lower temps, more summer rain than last couple years. My pond may have raised a lil bit, but not near full. I wonder what this spring will do...
Second hand info from the riders is that there was three kids out wreaking havok, stole a car, chased by authorities and escaped in the woods, authorities called for tow truck for car, kids re-stole car, crashed through fence, one of them injured leg, stole 4 wheeler, asked someone at random...
Very awkward. Have to hold your head to more of a left position. Felt very unnatural and uncomfortable to me. A few years ago I tried it a few weeks before rifle season, just couldn't get used to it. Took off the scope and just use the 94 for stalking/brush gun. Got a side eject mossy 30-30 that...
I put on a lure I haven't used in a while and Damn!, a dozen bass in 45 minutes! The bass in my pond are street smart. They catch on to what I'm using so I have to change it up every week or so. I tied on a chrome/blue Rattletrap and had the best day of the spring so far!
I'm having a lot of luck with rooster tails now. Seems like pond fish get used to what I'm using. I have to change tactics every week or so. Next, I'll try some top water baits.
I'm beat up! I finally got my garden in today ahead of the rain. My wife and I have a good size garden we put in every year(10,330sqft), my back is screaming at me.
Since you should be planting now, I would be wary of what herbicide you use. I would till, rake out what you can, plant, and keep...
Yes, the bite is finally getting better. My bass are so sluggish in the winter, I have to practically throw it in their mouths. Two days ago I caught three in ten minutes. Can't wait for warmer water!
Interesting. Everyone that bales hay for personal use or business uses herbicides. Hopefully those boys in Vermont will make enough noise to stop those big chemical companies from selling those two chemicals. I use the same hay I feed my animals. I'll have to get with my neighbors that bale and...
Tuplumber, do a search on Facebook for local groups with keyword "chicken". There's several chicken auction/trade groups. I have one myself in Carter county. I'm seeing a lot of different kinds of birds and eggs advertised.
Saw a YouTube vid with that machine. Clean bird in just a few seconds! Way cool.
10-4 on them being stupid birds. They dont have the survival instincts my other birds have. I lost a few to hawks because the don't take the cues from the others and hide.
