Another NFA question...

So. I saw this ad by TonyRumore for a 10" Remington scattergun.

In his ad he said it requires a $5 AOW stamp. I thought this was considered a SBS and required the appropriate $200-something stamp? Is it legal for me to buy a standard length (over 18") scattergun, cut it down to 10" and just pay $5 for an AOW stamp?

I need educated please! Because if I can get a 10 inch shotty for a mere 5 buck stamp, I'm all over it! :w000t:

Form 1 making of a AOW by a non SOT = 200usd stamp. Subsequent transfer on AOW's is a 5usd stamp.

GED to qualify for a AOW it can never have had a stock attached to it. Or as stated above you can make a AOW but you have to pay the $200.00. But any future transfer would be $5.00.

AND--- If you get your hands on an AOW you can not attach a stock to it unless you re register it as a SBS

Just do an SBS if you're gonna go through the hassle. Pistol grip shottys look amazing, but they really aren't useful for squat.
