Dealer Sub-section of Classifieds

Can we have a sub-section set up for the FFL's? There are several that run mulitple ads pushing non-ffl items to the 2nd and 3rd page.

I'm an FFL 01/03 and I agree there is WAY too much business postings at once that bumps a lot of others 2-3 pages back in nothing flat. I will post one, maybe 2 for sale posts a weekend and bump the a couple times. If there is no interest, I'll let them go. There are a number of FFL's that post good deals, closeouts, hard to find items, and machining services and don't abuse the classifieds. The few guys that feel the need to post their entire inventory at once, then bump every day, is annoying. Armslist will only allow dealers to bump once every 5 days!

To those dealers that post and bump more than 2 items a day- Please share the board and don't ruin it for the rest of us!

I welcome the dealers/ffl and I always look at what they have, but I think that we have enough now that they should have their own sub forums, maybe even one sub forum for each sponsoring dealer/ffl.

+1 I am an 07/02 but don't list much, I enjoy reading but not looking at what evertyone else has for sale.

I usually only sell personal guns on here. I do bump my threading thread once in a blue moon.

I think a dealer WTS section of the classifieds would be a cool idea. Make a small fee for those of us that don't have a full blown sponsorship in the budget, but since the classifieds are good for the site too we could have a symbiotic relationship and not bump the regular WTS stuff off the front page.

Site has more income, more classified adds for more traffic, less clutter for the non FFL members' ads. I think it makes a lot of sense.

There already is a section for Sponsors. Granted it needs to be updated; but it is there.

I'll pass this on. This sounds like a good potential idea. However, I would still suggest we would need a limit on number of open ads per member.
