There appear to be a lot of new exciting Spydercos (there were tons of prototypes at SHOT including a Ti Para-2).

Looks like quite a number SuperBlue models are slated to come out this year (including a SuperBlue Stretch, Delica, Endura, and Ladybug, all in gray FRN).

Also cool is the Native5 in CF and S110v as well as a Military Cruwear in gray G10. There are plenty others worth a look, check them out on Blade HQ's new knives page:

SpyderCollector has some good videos up. Here's my favorite so far (new flipper called the Domino):

Here's a new Karambit (the KaraHawk):

And a new large Wayne Goddard Sprint-Run:

Then again, they can't all be winners (Jot Singh Khalsa):

I had a Caly 3 (Carbon Fiber / Laminated ZDP-189). I actually liked it, but didn't like a few things. I sold it, but have been thinking of picking another up. It has no washers in the pivot, so the tang ends up a little scratched up from opening/closing, the carbon fiber is slick (which isn't a bad thing by itself), but combined with the shallow-tang means you have an easier chance of slipping a finger forward and onto that razor-sharp blade (I almost did and it scared the crap out of me when my finger slipped).

If you don't use the knife for hard intricate work where you have to choke up and be fairly forceful with it (especially in wet environments), then you probably won't ever run into an issue. It is a very nice knife overall and I miss mine enough that I may end up with another sometime soon.

Hmmm , well now you've worried me a bit.All of my blades see everyday use. This could include anyamount of tasks from opening a letter to cutting through all kinds of crap that i shouldnt be cutting through. This is why I pay full price from vendors all the time because I really like to handle them first and normally instead of molesting there blades and then going home and ordering them to save a buck I usually just buy it lol. From the pics it looked like there's enough gimping top and bottom to get aggressive with it if I needed too. I'm glad I asked. Still not out of the question but maybe a little more thought into it. Here's the one I was eyeballing. It has the G10.

Hey EZ. Months back you told me to grab a Chris Reeve Sebenza and thank you later. I've been close to pulling the trigger but here lately I've been buying more gun stuff than anything. Anyways , as I posted earlier I do not buy blades to just set on the dresser. So , what are your thoughts on carrying , using , and sharpening a Damascus blade ? I've found a few I like that are S35VN that are cheaper and I would be fine with but I've also seen a couple in Damascus that really get my attention. My reasoning is if I'm already spending that much what's a couple hundred more right ? Lol....

Well, I wouldn't count the Caly 3.5 out completely. Not everyone has issues with it (I've grown accustom to my choils and probably rely on them a little too much). My opinion is that if you're going to put a choil on a knife, it might as well be deep enough to be usable without worry of finger slippage, but again - that's just my opinion.

As for the Sebenza, I'm currently waiting on a Carbon-Fiber Sebenza to come up for sale on Blade Forums, so I can't fault you for wanting to upgrade over the standard model. I'm not really super into Damascus steel, so my knowledge is limited. From what I've read, Devin Thomas' Damascus is probably some of the best in the world (which Chris Reeve uses), so you'll definitely get high quality stuff.

You looking at Raindrop or ladder pattern? I think the Ladder pattern is kind of nice looking, but either one is pretty awesome.

I normally wouldn't buy China steel, but this was a going away present for me(no complaints here). I am actually pretty impressed with the quality of the build(the laser cut logo is a nice addition). Hopefully it will keep a good edge, but only time will tell. I haven't been able to find out anything about it online though(reviews, etc). It says Model 387 China on the blade, but I can't find anything on this model. Anywho, just wanted to share my new blade(even though its not a folder - I prefer fixed blade). Its about an inch and a quarter longer than a dollar bill.

When you originally turned me on to them I was looking at the raindrop but now I'm definitely going to get the ladder pattern. Tomorrows my Birthday so we will see what the wife has got me and if it's not a Sebenza I'll get one on order.

Here's the Damascus I'm looking at

If I dont get the Damascus I'm kinda digging this Honduran Rosewood
    http://www.bladehq.com/item--Chris-R...1-Knife--13367

This one would actually be my second option to the Damascus because I like the micarta but I don't really like the Insingo blade profile. I like the bead blasted titanium a lot though.

Nevermind , I found it without Damascus so it will be between this or the Damascus. The way that Damascus blends with the Micarta is just really sexy though.

Couldn't stand looking at anymore pics of the Benchmade 300SN Flipper, so I ordered one. I'm a sucker for sand/dirt colors lately. This will be my first Benchmade. Also seriously considering the Triage in orange and/or the Volli. Although, the Volli doesn't really offer anything I don't have already. BTW, I really wish more makers would use deep carry clips or at least clips that aren't stupid in function and/or looks.

Before you order, you really need to call the guy over at www.soonerstateknives.com - he's in Shawnee and at a lot of the gunshows (he ships lightning fast). He's a little bit of a spaz at the shows if you touch his knives, but he's actually a nice guy to do business with. His prices are absolutely awesome - he shows out of stock on the Damascus Sebbies, but he might know when more are coming in.

I like that guy. He is the reason I posted what I did earlier about handling all the knives and then going home and ordering to save money lol... I probably handled 20 blades one time at a show and he cleaned every single one of them. I think he was getting to the point where he thought I was just a tire kicker and wasting his time until I bought 2 higher end Benchmades and my Manix from him and then he was a whole different dude. : )
I'd much rather give him my money than an online retailer.
