OWB vs IWB

I have read a lot of post of members saying they can't wait to wear OWB holsters. Not talking about full open carry, still having it covered. Do most of you carry IWB I'm guessing? I carry OWB and dress around it and have not had any problems. Why do you not carry OWB now?

I carry IWB for two reasons. It conceals better and I think it aids retention. If I do OWB carry, I usually use a Safariland ALS holster. they're more bulky, but have a built in retention device that's safe to use and doesn't impede draw speed. Pancake leather holsters and kydex like Raven Concealment builds can be pretty easy to conceal, but most people would have to buy extra long shirts to prevent "peeking" from underneath.

My "love handles" will no allow comfortable IWB carry, so, OWB in winter and pocket carry in summer. Will probably switch to full time OWB after November.

My preferred carry for years on the job and into retirement has been IWB. With the right holster it is very comfortable, secure and hard to notice. The only handgun I will carry OWB most of the time is my 5" 1911. It's just not as comfortable IWB as my two commander sized 1911s. I have a few really good OWB holsters for it and may carry it a lttle more often after 1 Nov than I do now.
