Jaguars' Justin Blackmon arrested for aggravated DUI
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon was arrested on a complaint of aggravated DUI early Sunday morning in Stillwater, Okla., a Payne County Jail spokeswoman confirmed to NFL.com.
Blackmon, 22, was booked into Payne County Jail at 10:22 a.m. CT on Sunday. Oklahoma law says aggravated DUI applies to drivers with a .15 or higher blood alcohol level.
For Blackmon, this is the second time he has been arrested on a DUI complaint. In October of 2010, Blackmon was arrested in Carrollton, Texas after attending a Dallas Cowboys game on Monday Night Football. Blackmon did not have permission to attend the game and was suspended for one game by Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy.
In 38 games at Oklahoma State, the 6-foot-1, 207-pound Blackmon caught 252 passes for 3,564 yards and 40 touchdowns. Blackmon left Stillwater after catching 121 passes for 1,522 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior. The Jaguars traded up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to select Blackmon with the No. 5 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. Blackmon has yet to sign his rookie contract, which is expected to be worth around $18.5 million in fully guaranteed money.
The Jaguars concluded their OTAs on Friday, with head coach Mike Mularkey taking the team to play paintball.

Yes it does. Your drink and drive, your an idiot. Maybe not all the time, but driving drunk qualifies. Tell someone who has lost a love one to a drunk driver he is not an idiot.Originally Posted by RyanH

Yep. The school reference had not point. Sorry, ryan, this one got me pissed. Trying to somehow justify driving drunk is wrong.Originally Posted by PUMPKIN

I kinda understand why the average minimum wage earner has to drive himself home after a bender (well, not really, why doesn't he just stay home and drink??) but these guys with more money than God?? Nope ... just don't get it? I'd have somebody driving my cute little behind all over Hell's half-acre ...
I'd be happy to relieve him of some of his financial suffering. There are probably some single guys who are willing to help him with his other problems. One things for certain, rich and famous idiots should not be held accountable for their actions because of the incredible burden they have to bear.
Actually if you read the article he's beyond stupid. He has a prior offense, and he blew a .24 so there's not arguing this one. He hasn't even signed his contract yet and he's driving drunk..... trust me if 18.5 mill was on the line.... i'd be calling a cab or catching a ride.
Personally, I think those in the public eye (college athletes included) should face twice the punishment as us regular folks. We are damned sure gonna hear about it, so let them serve as an example. Yes, I am an OSU fan, and I hated him for it in 2010, and I really hate him for it now.
getting a dui once could be forgiveable, 2 and you should lose your license. I am quickly losing respect for Blackmon, and that is not good. I don't care what kind of pressure you are under, you don't drive after you have been drinking. You may as well walking into a park and take a shot. Sure, you might not kill somebody, but your chances go way down if you don't pull the damn trigger.
if you stick up for people who drive drunk, you are even worse. I would hope that you learned your lesson and never drive after drinking. I'm not a big drinker, I only drink occassionally, but I make sure that if I do, I make sure I won't be driving. Don't make yourself look like an idiot, never defend drunk driving. Too many people have been hurt, paralyzed or killed by IDIOT drunk drivers.
