Jesus Christ i am getting tired of hearing about people complain about health care reform. Why do conservatives refuse to step back and look at the good things that will come from this?

How about the millions of people that can now actually have insurance because before the reform, insurance companies would flat out refuse to cover those diagnosed with ailments like autism?

The blind conservatives act like Obama is the seed of the devil and only wants to ruin our country and our lives. Is he the greatest? Nope. Far from it. Is he the worst we have had? Nope. Far from it. Atleast he is making an effort to do something to help those less fortunate.

Oh and of course your immediate thought is "oh well he is just entitled and wants free money blah blah blah." Let me say this: there have been weeks, months even, that i could not pay my bills. My family and I would eat raman noodles just to get by. Some nights spent in the dark because we couldn't pay the electric bill.

Did i stand in a welfare line? Did i accept hand outs? Did i let the government pay for my woes and mistakes? Nope. Not once. So do not even just for a moment think of my thinking as "entitled." I worked my way into a better situation by hard work, thrifty spending, and diligence.

It is embarrassing to see just how bias everyone is when it comes to the subject of politics. And it is the blindness and the bias of people like hardcore conservatives and hardcore liberals that is killing this country. You blame the politicians, but it is the people that feed the politicians and give them energy to move on with stupid legislation.

And you talk about being entitled? I do not know of a more "entitled" group then political types. The title of the article is "Five major ObamaCare taxes that will hit your wallet in 2013." But hey your wallet is MUCH more important than that person that will now be able to afford treatment for their stage 1 cancer, right?

All good and well, except that it is NOT, under NO circumstances, the governments duty to forcibly take from those who have to provide for those who don't.

It's not that my wallet is more important than someone else's health. It's the issue of taking my money without my choice.

I could pay a second mortgage with what I pay monthly for health insurance, and that's just my portion of it. So you can bet your last dollar that I want health costs to come down. But letting the government manage it is NOT the answer.

The problem isn't that people thought things were fine before, it's that these are not the reforms we needed. The real reforms we needed was to repeal all the stupid healthcare related laws that have been passed since Ted Kennedy started screwing up the system in the 70's.

My biggest problem with the health care act is that there is no way that the country can afford it, and it will hasten the economic problems we are seeing.

My family doctor is Canadian. He practiced in Canada but got the hell out of there when his father-in-law passed away 6 months into a 9 month government waiting list for a heart procedure that would have been done immediately here in the U.S.
Talk to a Canadian doctor.....one of the things he told me was the corruption on both side, the doctors and the patients, are practically breaking the system. Everyone knows how to work it and take from it.

Do you honestly want a government as corrupt as ours running something as important as your health care? Look how politicians have robbed our SS system. That should speak volumes on the corruption already in place, and the ease in which politicians will rob the citizens.

Obamacare is nothing more than medicare for everybody. What's your answer going to be and who are you going to blame when it's bankrupt, the hospitals that don't go bankrupt won't take it, the doctors quit taking it (they are already starting to quit seeing medicare patients), the insurance companies are bankrupt, and the entire healthcare system as we know it today is a heap of ashes leaving only the well to do able to obtain healthcare at all because they can pay?

The problem of covering Americans with pre-existing conditions is certainly real, but the notion that the only way to solve it is through a massive transformation of America's health-care system — one that will increase costs, raise taxes, displace millions of the happily insured, create a new entitlement, and undermine our private insurance sector — is simply wrong. There are far better solutions available

My little brother worked as a RN in the state of Maine. Canadian's with money came to the US all the time for treatment. Canada's system was just to slow. Same thing could easily happen here.
