Palin has [a lot] of rabbid supporters all across the country, even in the important swing states... wouldn't be a good idea to piss'em off for dissing her and then they stay home on election day.

Palin didn't hurt McCain.. McCain hurt himself when he suspended his campaign and went back to Washington to vote for the big stimulous plan. Showed he couldn't walk & chew bubble gum at the same time. Obama stayed on the Campaign trail. Without Palin, McCain would have been just another Ross Perot... only not as smart.

You know, I think they were crediting Cheney as the brains behind the alleged oil theft operation.
