BMW, baby. They will shed goofy-@55 ape hanger handlebars and obnoxious loud pipes like water off a duck's back.

Are they retiring the Harley-Fergusons and Massey-Davidsons?

Yea the busa's were too fast for them. I think all of them got wrecked. A lot of the motocops I talk to miss the old Kawasaki bikes.

Rule 4: Doubletap: Carrying a gun is a great idea but it should never be your primary weapon. When you do end up using it for that last minute 'oh sh*t' moment remember to double tap. Its an emergency and that's why your using it and not your cricket bat so why skimp? One bullet more in the head will go a long way to ensuring your survival.

Yes the bike( if you call it that) in the background is Tulsa PD. They have no need to go fast, hence the Harley.

I'm sure all the American workers at the Harley plants in THE U.S. appreciate our tax dollars going to this. I don't begrudge someone owning one, I do have an issue with tax dollars going to Germany, Austria, China, & Taiwan for this. I'm surprised our POTUS isn't in a Lexus limo by now. Sorry, when there are options, this makes me sick.

By the way, I have owned my Heritage for 4 years with not a single issue. Unlike the old days, when was the last time you saw one broke down on the side of the road?

    Go ahead, flame on!

Still kicking myself for passing up my dream R1200r a few years ago. Ugh.

I started with a 47 Indian and progressed through Harleys and rice rockets before arriving at my first BMW. From 77 to 2001, I racked up miles on 3 different BMWs. If I ever ride again, it will certainly be a BMW. The most trouble free bikes I have ever experienced.

Yes that is a Harley next to it. OHP still uses HD's as well. So does Moore PD.

You know it's all about the job you need to do, thus the tool you use. The touring bikes are great scoots, but they do have a time and a place. No one will disagree the Harley can't catch up with a Busa, but then again, I'd like to see an OHP keep up with a skilled Busa rider.. That really isn't the issue anyway.. I'd bet the state put out a bid request and some BMW dealer undercut the Harley dealer... The state is a lowest bidder wins agreement. Or the best under the table deal..

For fast pursuits and handling, the BMW will drive circles around a Harley touring bike. It's about the best tool for the job and it makes better sense for them to be in Kawasaki's and BMW's than the Harleys.
