    Default BB gun wars

    Sooner State Pawn
Was anyone else foolish enough to have experienced one? When ever all the cousins would happen to be out at Grandma's house the Daisy's and Crosman's would be distributed after the adults weren't looking. Everyone would slip off out back and the wars would begin. It wasn't like airsoft today where someone won't call being hit. When you yelped there was no denying! I don't know how someone didn't lose an eye or worse. Crosman's were restricted to one pump because if you cared to pump it up enough it was armor piercing! Man that was back in 79 and 80. Good times if not dangerous.

Me and my friends used to have BB wars. We played at a park at night once and some old folks called the police on us...lol. Good times.

I sure do miss them, one died in 2006 at age 19, the other died a few months ago at age 25....
But anyhow, bb gun wars is some of the good memories we shared.
Lord, make me fast and accurate. Let my aim be true and my hand faster than those who would seek to destroy me. Grant me victory over my foes and those that wish to harm to me and mine. Let not my last thought be “If only I had my gun”; and Lord if today is truly the day that You call me home, let me die in a pile of brass

Been there, done that! My Grandad had a huge barn which was the scene of many epic battles. We actually had one guy hit in the eye (by his little brother). Scared us all to death! It made a slit in the eyelid and when he pulled the lid up and out, the bb fell out in his hand. That was actually my LAST bb battle.

Use to have them all the time. We always used pellet guns though. Extremely lucky that we didn't put an eye out. There were many close call face shots.

Ahhhhh, the good ole days... BB gun fights... and back a little further in the late 60's & early 70's parents & kids alike shot Roman Candles at each other and held pop-bottle rockets in our hand instead of using a bottle. I had a Black Cat go off between my thumb & index finger a few times due to a fast fuses... Hand was numb as hell for 30 minutes.. but we just laughed & joked about it. Now a parent can go to jail for child endangerment and the kid go into state custody!

Heck yeah we had BB gun wars. No shooting above mid-chest. Also no one got shot in the eye...surprising. A memorable moment, during a winter time war, Dennis made a move across the yard to the base with his coat pulled up covering his torso and head. A bad move because it exposed his belly. He got shot just below the belly button and the BB slide into his belly button and left a red streak. That was over 40 years ago. He still had the mark when we graduated from high school. I wonder if he still has it today?

BB gun wars were always a favorite as well as roman candle and bottle rocket wars. sometimes i wonder how we never seriously hurt each other.

I was involved in the Great Terlton - Jennings BB War of 1984.
It was an epic battle between the unruly teens of the two towns.
I expect it will be noted in the next edition of high school history books.

Carried a bb in my cheek(the upper)for about ten years. Finally decided to jave it removed after a collision with a basketball.

I still have a BB in my hand from when my step-sister shot me from 5 feet away. We weren't having a BB gun fight, I just shot air at her with one gun and she was planning on shooting air at me but there must've been a BB in the barrel or something. She was aiming at my head but luckily I blocked and now my left hand has a nifty party trick if someone has a decent magnet.

A neighbor kid actually did lose an eye that way. It was early 60's and there was an epic cowboys vs indians battle. This young man's arrows were no match against a fast-cocking Daisy lever-action. I was gone on vacation and missed the battle--thank you Lord.

Hells yeah.... We used to do this all the time. we had a 3 pump limit on ours. If you broke it you got the firing squad. you could tell back then just by the crack if it was a 3 pumper or more.
