I will just say as a 5th grade Special Education teacher in Moore Schools myself this is always gut wrenching to me, I know we laugh because we think why would a pretty teacher want these young boys, ect. But the sad reality of it is that this scars a child for life. YES even the boys. Because the relationship that we have with our students is a very important social step in thier social evolution. These kids don't always like the lessons we give them, or the rules we have for them. BUT they do fully expect to come to school and be safe from this kind of abuse. These children truly do trust us and look to us for current and future behavior expectations. It's not funny, or lucky, or cool. It's really, really sad and the chances are these children may never have normal relationships with others again.
