Anyone else mod out their golf cart?

If you have the PDS motor you'll want to change out the controller and upgrade the battery cables.

I've already upgraded the cable to 1/0. People talk about 2 gauge as an upgrade, but if I'm going to the trouble of taking off the old cables and making new ones, the cost of going to 1/0 is really minimal over 2 gauge. You already have to buy the lugs, shrink tubing, etc.

I'm going to keep using the stock controller until it loses its magic smoke.

Just hope that it doesn't lose it's smoke in the woods...lol The cart guys say that the PDS motor is designed to run wide open and if it's not run that way it will overheat and burn up the motor. Damned if I know if that's true or not, but my controller died a few weeks ago.

I know the PDS doesn't like low speed crawling. So, for now, I'll just have to keep that in mind as I'm running around the farm. I can't see spending $600 before it goes bad. Just gonna wait til it does.

Ha! I just notice that you can see the wheels of John Zane's walker that is strapped to the top of the cart. I'm sure glad that he doesn't need that thing anymore!

I am going to take my families golf cart and outfit it to look like a cop car. Trying to help raise money for the Special Olympics Oklahoma. I will take it around to different fundraisers that will hold.

Mod ??? You mean 6" home brew lift , dual range motor, flip seat, 23x10x12 486 atv tires on 12" atv rims, 4" offset hubs " , solenode controled Fw & Rv ,48 volt contverted, sound systm.
