Default Thinking about a new Trijicon

    Sooner State Pawn
I a, just getting my new AR-15 done and now I am starting to think about a sight. I ended up going with a 16" barrel, 9.625 tube, and YHM flip ups.

Now I am thinking about a red dot. I been looking at the Aimpoint M4, or a ACOG. After being on the Trijicon page I seen the Trijicon SRS. May not be the best looking sight. After doing some reading on it I am starting to like what I am seeing.

From what I see, it will keep up with the Aimpoint M4.

Anyone here have one, or ever played with one?

Just like to know how good it is. Like to here your input on this if you have any.

I was looking at getting one for a long time, but opted for the CompM4. The aimpoint is good to go and there's tons of used ones out there in the $450-550 range which is half the cost of the Trijicon. Plus a ~10 year battery life on a single AA. They are built like tanks too. However, Trijicon puts out a quality product. If you decide to go the Trijicon route, be sure to post a review.

I got this Trijicon, and I liked it a lot. But after playing around with it for a few days I just could not see paying what I did for it. For the money plus a few hundred, I could get an ACOG. So I ended up sending it back. If I get a red dot again, I am going to go back to the Aimpoint Comp M4 or try the M4S. If you got a lot of money on hand the Trijicon is very good and nice. I am a big fan of Trijicon so I had to try it.

Was that the Trijicon on the AR15 with the spiral barrel that you had up for sale at Superdave's show in Claremore?

Sorry it didn't work out for you man. I was considering one of these as well, but like I said in my first post, I opted for the CompM4. Also, the ACOG's are nice optics. I don't like them for close stuff (50 yds and in) but they are great for beyond that. Crystal clear as well.

My TA44 ACOG's are perfect for close stuff inside 50 yards, and out to 300 or so.
