I like the guy. I think he is entertaining and agree with his statement. However, as a public spokesperson for a business that is trying to sell to people on the right and the left, you should probably avoid making political statements that could potentially alienate any of your customers. His first amendment rights are not being violated. There is a good chance this was a business decision rather than a political decision.

One 30-second ad for doesn't make you a "spokesperson" for Gayco. The spot is two-years-old and rarely airs anymore. He's free to speak his mind, IMO. And, I'm sure he could give a rat's rear about what an overrated insurance company thinks of his political views.

TMZ reports that the Sarge claims he was fired by Geico for criticizing Obama in 2010, because he wasn't hired to do a second commercial. Someone really does need a tissue.
