You might look at the service Pingdom (http://www.pingdom.com) to monitor the uptime of your site. It can email you as soon as it goes down, and give you reports about how often it is up/down.

I've had some surprising results when monitoring GoDaddy sites. One customer had 80% uptime. Awful. They called and complained until they finally got 99.9% uptime.

If you're not married to them you might think about switching to someone else. As simple as your site is, you could probably host that thing on Amazon S3 for all of $1 a month.
