And for the past two weeks you've been belly aching about how sick you are. Imagine that.

I was at the doctor already because I was sick when they told me the new flu shot was available. One has nothing to do with the other. And flu shots do not cause 2.5 weeks of diahrehea.

With the exception of one year, which year I got the flu, I've gotten the shot for the past 20+ years.
Only side effect was the year I didn't get one.

Wifes job requires her to get one every year as well. I have never had anything more than a little soreness from having needle jabbed in my arm from a flu shot. Neither one of us has gotten sick from a vaccine. So again it's a moot point. A pre existing stomach infection was nether helped nor worsened by a flu shot. Having had 3 rounds of flu in the past 12 years that have resulted in me being in the emergency room for dehydration I will take my chance with a vaccine.

Yep. Flu shots are a requirement. Got mine Saturday, along with the tetanus/diptheria/pertussis shot..

Woke up with a slight fever, sore throat, body aches, running at both ends, etc. Kinda hoping it is flu season so I do not feel this crappy without a good reason.

There's a virus going around that memics the flu. I'm on day 12 of getting over it. Bad stuff for sure. But not the flu, more of a lung thing.

The last time I got the flu in a bad way was the last time I did NOT get a flu vaccine. Coincidence? Who knows... I'm required to get X vaccines each year and it doesn't bother me a bit getting them. I got all the nasty vaccines growing up, and so did just about every person I know did as well. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but there's a helluva lot of people that turned out just fine after getting vaccinated for me to jump in feet first believing that vaccines are the cause of all the problems.

The requirement for vaccinations in public schools is a farse, they have this thing called a waiver, which they neither offer, nor advise you about.
