    Default Great bait (for deer)

I have had pretty good luck with this stuff.

I put about a pint of corn in a one gallon ziplock bag, and cover the corn with the cheapest apple juice I can find.

It will swell up overnight and pretty much fill up the bag.

I just spot it around in front of my blind in little piles--half a cup or so. Everything seems to like it. Deer, racoons, armadillos, hogs, etc.

A couple of years ago I watched two four pointers fighting over a doe. The wind shifted, they smelled the corn, and they left the doe for the corn. She was ready to go, and stood there tapping a foot . . .

Deer are suckers for anything sweet. Is anyone old enough to remember the deer suckers? Looked like a Slo Poke. I made several in a bread loaf pan and added deer mineral too. The deer loved them......and so did the pigs

I bought that high protien stuff just to feed them. They ate it. They sure love the corn too though.

Maybe I missed something but the corn didn't swell up for me. Are you just using regular bagged corn or what? I put a 1/4 cup of corn in a baggie then put enough apple juice in to completely submerge it all.

Next time try dry feed corn, not sweet corn out of the freezer

Those who demand quality are willing to pay for it.
Those looking for Cheap will argue that theirs is just as good and criticize you for demanding quality over value.
I lived with cheap for 50 years and now only look for quality and enjoy doing so.
I don't give a **** what you say or think about me or my products, you will not appreciate quality until you own it.

Were the apples cut in half or quartered or just whole apples? I might try to find some cheapies and try them out.

I always quarter mine (no apples anywhere near where I hunt and they still hit them), not sure what flashover saw on TV. Hopefully he'll chime in here shortly.
