    still looking.

I was informed that bills in claremore had one in stock, but when i called to ask about it he price jumped from the already over priced $600 to $650.

found one on gunbroker that i really like, but i do not know how i feel about sending a money order for it regardless of the sellers positive feedback.
here is a very nice example of what i am looking for, posted for much closer to its usual selling price. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=325658042

The seller on gunbroker has good feedback. I wouldn't be afraid to purchase from him. However, the listing doesn't say if the gun has been converted. The transfer bar safety conversion makes that Ruger offers for free makes this gun a bit safer, but lowers the value.

Might also say that I was in Bill's again today & took another look at the one that he has. It is identical to the one on gunbroker. It is not unfired and there is an ugly scratch on the cylinder. The price is marked $649.

this i know, but my father collects rugers, and i have a gp100 and have seen many of the new model with transfer and upgrades; i can tell from the photo of the rear of gun with the hammer cocked, it has no transfer bar and is not converted.

weather a gun like this is unfired or not, has no meaning to me, they were and still are all fired once at least before it leaves the factory, and regardless of that, I am still a shooter and will be shooting it, my only concern is that its not beat to hell and it has the features i want for a price i can justify.

for a gun this age, i almost expect it to have some blue on the barrel and ejection rod housing to be rubbed off from holster ware, and i expect a ring on at least one of the cylinders. but cracked or gouged grips, several and deep scratches, or rust, are blatant signs of abuse to me.

its out there, i will find one. I am looking at the gunshows, and checking the web weekly for them, and a family friend who collects the single sixes is watching out around the denver area as well.

until then, i appreciate you looking out too, and i will keep bumping here.
