The official Constitutional Carry thread for 2012/2013

No more talk about open carry (that gawd) but the new 2A topic at the state Capitol this legislative session will be constitutional carry.

I am hoping to see Constitutional Carry soon, but I doubt it will happen.

There are too many people that have their panties in a knot over Open Carry right now, including LEOs.

Too soon. I don't think it's possible to pass this yet. (my opinion, not OKOCA)

What I'd like to see pass is an exemption from liability for businesses who choose not to prohibit lawful carry in their stores, like WI has. I'd also like to see the law that makes it a felony to leave your handgun in the car on K-12 school property. Concealed carry on university campuses would be great, too. Oh, and do away with that stupid requirement to notify.

Isn't there a federal law about guns and schools too though?

Meh, maybe so but it will draw a lot of discussion I assume as a bill gets pushed to the line.

As for Const. Carry I believe it'll be down the road a bit. The sheeple have to get used to seeing them first.

We have our foot in the door. People from the Constitutional Carry states - Alaska, Arizona, Wyoming, and Vermont - can carry in Oklahoma with their state ID (driver's license) only. It's a real short step for us to have permit-less carry as well.
