I've read good stuff on the tac 30. I ran their XTR for awhile and it was a nice scope.

The Nikon P-223 seems to be a very nice scope for the $150 price range.

Get the Burris TAC30... it isn't too much more than the Millet, and it has much better glass (Filipino instead of Chinese). It has a nice BDC reticle, too. Plus the illumination is true daylight visible, unlike the others you have mentioned. I have a TAC30 and my buddy has a Millet... mine is a much better scope. FYI the Primary Arms is indeed the same scope as the Millet... just with a different reticle design.

If the TAC30 is too expensive for you, I would go with a Weaver V3 1-3x20. It has MUCH better glass than any of those Chinese scopes... really amazing glass for the money. The only thing it doesn't have is an illuminated reticle, which isn't that big of a deal anyway.

I'll check into the Weaver. I'm also looking for info on the Leupold Mark AR 1.5-4x20.

I had a burris tac30 and really liked it I sold it and put the money towards a new gun. I just recently replaced it with a Leatherwood CMR 1-4x24mm that I like even more. I bought mine the day after thanksgiving for $269.99 shipped from midway.

Wow! Almost wish I hadn't started this. I've spent hours researching these things. As it stands right now, I'm down to the following:

Leupold VX Hog Rifle Scope 1-4x 20mm Pig Plex Reticle (Not VX-R)
Nikon Series Monarch African 1-4x20 w/ German #4 Reticle
    Leatherwood 1-4x24 CMR Tactical

I need to just throw darts.

Or you could just buy one of each and get two more rifles to put them on.

Yeah, it's slightly in the lead right now. I'll probably decide tomorrow.
