I plan on going.
Match Director Todd has cancelled the Saturday January 5th match, due to expected low temperatures at match time.
Saturday is supposed to be nice weather. I don't get it.

Its the match director's call, based on his assessment of the predicted weather. I'm just passing along his wishes for his match. He and his set-up crew are the guys who have to get out early in the morning to set up the day's match.
Each match director has their own weather policy, based on what they think is safe for the competitors and the event operations. Some events require a minimum predicted high temperature, say 40 or maybe 37 degrees. Some events factor in the wind chill effect to the temps; some don't.
It all depends.
I run the IDPA event at Oil Capital. My policy for it is pretty simple. If the roads are too nasty, from where you are, to make the match safely, please stay home. I shoot regardless of temperature. It's is useful to know if your equipment and gun will run in less than perfect conditions. We will hide in a nice dry building during a lightning storm. We shoot during light drizzles. We'll wait out a heavy downpour, if it looks like it will be short lived; most such are in Oklahoma. We've shot in light snow. I think I may have actually cancelled 2 matches in the last 10 years. Two feet of snow on the ranges will result in a cancellation. We've shot abbreviated matches in 4" of wet snow. A couple months ago, we shot an all-steel IDPA match, with the shooters hanging out under huge umbrellas. The stages will be adapted to make the match safe for the competitors.
That sucks. In his defense it is suppose to snow tomorrow.
Looking for a varmint barrel Winchester Wildcat 22lr.
Remember that 12/17/2012 day some store turned their back on the community.
Cheaper than dirt $59.95 P-Mags
Dicks for having a v-jj
Kings Guns in Cushing $75.00 P-Mags
Brigadoon in Del City $39.95 used GI mags
Savage Trading in Yukon $800.00 per thousand
Heartland Outdoors $49.00 P-Mags
I did post up the cancellation on the Defensive Rifle Yahoo Group. Also I sent out an email from it to all those on the Group. About all I can do to spread the word.
I would mention to all that if you are signed up with the Group, but didn't get the email to check your Spam filters. If its caught there, please add it as a safe sender, or whatever it takes to keep from getting trapped there in the future, on your particular system.
that sucks
It probably for the better though. Last thing I need to do is shoot the little ammo I have at the moment. I dont expect to find any at a good price in awhile.
