I've had good luck with 100mm Konus scopes, if you ask nicely I might let go of the spare.

Don't get the 80mm Konus or the Burris XT-75.
I've got a Minox that is pretty decent for the price.
I buy things I don't need to impress people I don't know

I had good luck with a Barski 20-60x60 till it fell off the safe now I have a barski 25-125x88 coming around monday from sportmen guide . Good clear image and could see 22 holes at 100 yds with no problems.

I would like to know why also. I got one of the burris xt-75 for a xmas present and have yet to really use it...besides reading about a 6" square warning label (the larger print tripod wasnt stabile enough) on side of an international combine about 200+ yards away at my folks farm from the livinging room picture window.
With either scope I could not see 308 bullet holes in paper at 200 yards. In addition, the Burris had debris in the eyepiece that interfered with viewing. Both were bought new...the Burris was returned and the Konus sold.
I have excellent vision without need for glasses.
Is there anything worth having for under 200 bucks? Or spend the extra for a good scope?
16 in tha clip and 1 in tha hole......Nate dogg............
I got the vortex nomad 20-60 for Christmas last year and I've also got an expensive zeiss had a few cheaper ones that were terrible and the I sold or traded them off. I have used the vortex to read ear tags on calving cows at around 400 yards. You can on a day with little mirage see .224 bullet holes in paper at 200 yds. Is it is good as the zeiss at low light or really overcast days absolutely not at 325-350 bucks is it an excellent value yes. I use a spotter a lot almost daily this time of year and for the money if I had to buy one I'd buy a vortex. My zeiss will still see lots of use shooting long range and hunting but if I didn't have the other one it would do most of what I need. and just buy once cry once and wait and spend a little more. The difference in say a 150 dollar one and a 350 dollar one are amazing and the difference in a a thousand dollar plus one will blow your mind. I've never looked through a konus so I can't weigh in on one but the compact Burris and a Simmons and the bushnell I had were junk compared to even the vortex.
I bought a good one for 3 bucks at a garage sale with a tripod and everything. You need to find one like that.
God, Country, and Guns!
Vortex plus 2/3/4
We bought the luepold army sniper issue scope. Can read county road signs at two miles, provided the mirage isn't too bad. Can't beat a Ziess
