Yeah like they don't know they're doing that.
I know it isn't a rule, but could some of you guys with 5 or 6 ads going in the classifieds combine them? when you bump all your ads you kill the first page.![]()

I think it's been mentioned before, but I can't find it now.
Definitely, if you are posting multiple items, they need to go in one thread.
Can you combine the ones that are already there YG?

I guess I'm guilty of this. My rationale was that they were 3 totally unrelated items (holsters, projectiles, ammo). When you hit the edit limit it becomes a mess to keep it straight. As each individual item sells it falls off the pages.
It's very easy to keep straight.
Assign each item a number, and update accordingly.
Example:
#1 - sold
#2 - sold
#3 - spf
#4 - price dropped to $400
What's the edit limit for each message? Seems that's where things get difficult. Yes, you could have your ad and then create new messages for updates then you are bumping your ad constantly. Otherwise, you have several edits and then must start a new message for updates which get's messy.
You can edit for at least the first day, after that, use the daily bump that is allowed. If it is still the same day that you posted the last update, then you can edit that post to reflect the new status.
Beware of sarcasm!!

My question was what the edit limit was. I see now it's one day, I thought it was x# of times.
I agree with mouthpiece, this is the first time I have seen the daily edit limit rule. Speaking as a user and admin of websites/message boards myself, I see no issue with edits after the first day, but hey that's me. Your ball your rules.
Please help uncomplicate the issue for me, what is the reasoning behind the 1 day edit rule?
For me personally, why make several posts when you can edit one? With people constantly adding to your ad, as well as yourself making new updates it gets cluttered and difficult to decipher and causes confusion IMO.
Just my thoughts...

Yes, it's easier than more threads to mod. And it's more fair to everyone else selling in the classifieds to not have one person with 6 threads in a row taking up half the page.
We've had problems in the past with people editing stuff after the fact. If people would follow the rules, they wouldn't be "constantly adding to your ad", as they would take it PM. I've listed multiple items many times, all with NO confusion. I've seen others list multiple items, all with NO confusion. It's only confusing if you make it confusing.
