i went to the range today to try out my new 1911 and about 10-15 times while shooting, my gun jammed up because the primer fell out of the round just fired and came out and got between the live round going into the chamber and the rear of the breach.

i was using federal 230grain fmj

has anyone else had a problem with this? i thought it was really strange because i've never had any problems with federal ammo.

Call federal with the lot number of the ammo. They'll likely arrange for you to ship the remaining ammo and any empty brass to them for analysis. Replacement ammo would be a given IMHO.

Ditto what 1911user said. I called them on some .22LR ammo about a year ago. They sent me two boxes for free and I didn't even have to return the one I had.
