My dad called Wood sorrel "Sheep shower"

I have eaten a lot of it and dad said they made wine from it.

Yea better add a LOT of sugar and some yeast.
Wood sorrel and sheep shower are different.
Edit. There is a sheep sorrel that is different than wood sorrel.

I've got it growing everywhere along with poke weed.
We have poke growing in the fence rows. Often wondered why we eat it when cows won't touch it, but I've ate a metric ton of it over the years.
I have to fight the lambs quarter that comes up in the only garden we have left which is about a 30' row of asparagus.

The stuff I speak of is actually called many things but "book" name would be "Oxalis stricta"

A few different kinds of Sorrel for sure.
Below is what I like to eat from the yard.
