Although I am not always in agreement with what the government of this country chooses to do or participate in, even though I am VERY often upset with how our government and our citizens portray us in the global public eye and even though I despise the policies that are often implemented within our own boundaries...I have always and will always be "A Proud American". I was raised this way and as I grew into adulthood CHOSE to be this way. I served my time although I was never called upon or put in a situation to bare the sacrifices many of my brothers in arms so generously gave for the freedoms we have enjoy throughout the years. I would say to others that if they aren't proud to live in this country or to be an active participant in our way of life, they should take a good hard look deep within. As mention by an earlier poster...I travel a lot. You see the world from a different vantage point a couple times and you may have a change of heart about the country that provides you the freedom to openly voice your disdain for it. As bad as it's getting, it's still the greatest nation on the planet. That being said I'll hold by the statement "Love it or leave it"...Go somewhere that makes you proud to be there and assimilate to THEIR way of life. Remember this, Jamaica ain't so great for 95% of the residence. You know, the ones that live in the little shacks you see when you leave the resort as a tourist!
