So I have this Hungarian underfolder that I love to death but the underfolding stock puts my head just low enough to piss me off. So heres what I did to fix it using things I had around the house.
What you need: sand paper, dowel rod (any size close to 3/8"), paracord (didn't measure but at least 10')
Cut your Dowel Rod to Length
I rednecked my harbor freight belt sander in a vise for sanding the ends of the dowel
I sanded the ends at a taper so when I wrap with paracord it wont slip off the end and look like complete garbage. I wish I would have done a more gradual taper than this but oh well.
This is a basic style of wrapping that has always served me well
FINISHED
Took me about 30 minutes and puts my line of sight perfect with the irons. Looks decent and cheap/easy enough. Hope this helps someone.
