I just remove the firearm and leave on the empty holster. Never has been a problem except for 2 cases. Once was at one of the larger music concert venues in OKC. The security guard did his pat down felt the IWB holster and asked what it was. I told him and he shoved his fat fingers down the IWB repeatedly as if he was reenacting some porn scene on my holster. Afterwards, he was cool about it and let me in. About 15 minutes later, I see him searching the crowd. He sees me and beckons me to come to him. He explains that one of the OKC Police officers on duty as security at the venue had a major cow (I'm assuming the cop was wondering why this guy was fat fingering my holster like pornstar in heat and asked him about it) and says that I have to leave the holster in my vehicle or leave the premises immediately possibly with police escort if there's a problem. I asked which officer it was and when he pointed him out, the cop immediately turned around and avoided eye contact with me. I went back my vehicle and came back and by then the entire staff knew about me made me go in a separate line to be patted down again for entry. Again, the cop who had the problem with me being there with an empty holster avoided eye contact with me. What a jerkface. The second time was when I was in the downtown okc courthouse. There is this fat S.O.B. sheriffs deputy who works guard duty there all the time. The mouth breather literally has nothing better to do than make fun of people's shirts or exert his "authority" when someone forgets to remove their pocket knife and he condescendingly tells them that their knife is now confiscated and to be destroyed. I removed my keys and wallet and my IWB holster to run it through the scanner. This mouth breather jumps up and sternly asks me what my holster was. I calmly replied that it was a gun holster. He then loudly screams "A WHAT!??" I calmly repeat that it was my gun holster and for my concealed carry. He goes nuts and starts calling for the attention of other deputies and they pretty much ignore him. I go through the metal detectors, grab my keys, wallet and holster and proceed to put my holster back on and go on my merry way while he shakes his head in disapproval. The whole time he's fumbling trying to figure out if he needed to do something or not.... sigh.
