I use to get stopped quite a bit due to my lead foot. My wife get so mad because I never get a ticket. Everytime I get stopped the first thing she says is, “maybe they will take you to jail this time”, “If they would take you to jail just for one night, it would void all of the times I got a ticket.” I just roll my eyes at her and laugh. My dad was a retired Georgia State Trooper and he taught my brother and I things to do and how to behave if we ever get stopped by the Cops. If during the day, stop immediately when they pull up behind you, roll all the windows down so they can see inside the car/truck while walking up, keep hands in the 2pm and 10pm position on the steering wheel and if it is at night, do all the same and turn on interior lights. And be curious and polite. All of this goes a long way at putting them at ease. And make sure you hand them your gun license if you have one. My wife once got stopped twice in one day by the same cop and received two tickets. LOL!!!! Yes, she has a very sarcastic personality and it doesn’t help when she gets stopped. I will tell that story sometime. lol
