So last night I went to grab some food. I guess when I went to go take a whiz, my shirt got pulled up and made the top of my weapon show. I went back to my table where I was eating without realizing it was showing. I sat down, and as I always do, made sure my shirt was covering the weapon, and realizing it wasn't I pulled it down. So I am sitting there and employee/manager walks over to me. He looks nervous. The conversation went like this: (Him) - Sir, one of our employees noticed you had a concealed weapon. (Me) - OK? (Him) - I was told to ask to see your license for carrying. (Me) - Excuse me? (Him) - I have to ask to see your license to carry. (Me) - Are you a police officer? (Him) - No, I am not. (Me) - Then no you can't ask. If you want to call the police I will be happy to sit here and wait for them. But no, you may not see it. (Him) - Well, should I be worried for any reason? (Me) - Well I paid with my credit card, and have sat here and eaten half my meal. I think you should be ok. (Him) - I'm sorry, I don't know what to do in this situation. (Me) - You have no need to be sorry. This was my fault, I should have checked my shirt when I left the bathroom. The whole point of a concealed carry is to keep it concealed and I apparently didn't do that. My fault. If you don't want guns in the restaurant let me know and I will leave. (Him) - No, it's fine, no problem. I just have never encountered this before. (Me) - I can assure you that hundreds of people walk through these doors with a concealed weapon - not everyone with a gun is a bad guy. I screwed up, and I guess if the police showed up I could have been ticketed for tracing. Either way, honest mistake, but one I wanted to share... Jonny
