[QUOTE="D V US, post: 2880983, member: 34558"] there has to be a higher power involved. I decided to get my first AR the same way I do a lot of other things, the hard way. Bought a Spikes lower a couple of years ago and would pick up a part here and there, usually what was cheap and on sale. Well I finally finished it last week and took it out today to test fire. I had some doubts as the first round chambered required the use of the forward assist, but it then ran four full mags through it without a hiccup. That alone surprised me, since I had never put one together before, but what really blew my mind was that it shot exactly to point of aim at 50 yards, requiring no sight adjustment whatsoever. The sight I used was an old red dot that had been sitting around for a few years and I just threw it on to have an aiming point for function testing. Again, this is the first ever AR that I have built and I have to ask, is it pretty much the norm to put these together and have them just work flawlessly without some sort of tweaking or adjustment?
