Wife and I got married at the Old Church at Branson and I think it was somewhere around $1200-1400 with a reception. The church is cooled by the cave below it and they had three church services prior to our wedding, which was on a Sunday on Memorial Day weekend, and it was a little warm. This price included a photographer and passes in for everyone in attendance along with a horse and buggy ride to bring the bride in and for one after the ceremony as well as a fancy handmade candle.

We had thought about going to Branson but, not everyone is willing to travel there and then just turnaround and come back home after the wedding. Plus, we are going on a cruise and with limit time, we would have to be back in Tulsa to catch an early morning flight...

We are going on a missions trip to Mexico with our Church at the end of September, and I have never been to Mexico or on a missions trip, so this should prove quite interesting...

RidgeHunter - I know that not getting married is free but, I like married life...

Vesica Piscis Chapel in Catoosa (about a mile behind Hard Rock Casino) - great place!

White House Mansion in Jenks

Tarp Chapel

I've been to weddings in all three and they were all nice

Thanks for doing that. It should be an excellent experience for you and helpful to countless others. We're off to Wales next month for the same reason.

(Apologies for derailing this discussion some.)

You're church-going enough to be involved in a mission trip but not considering your home church for the ceremony? I don't understand. But, I was raised Methodist so maybe that's why I'm confused.

BrianDP,

we have thought about using our Church but, the sanctuary is quite large for the number of people being invited, and it just seems like too much wasted space, which is why we are looking for something on the smaller side ..

Thank you for doing that as well! I hope you have a safe trip and can accomplish much while you are there...

Here's the deal, this is your day, so make the plans that fit you, others will be there, if they want to be there...

We started down the path of trying to make it work well for everyone, and you will find, it just won't happen, and you will drive yourself crazy trying.
