At the bone pile in Kaktovik, Alaska after the fall whaling season. I've seen a few up close when we lived in Barrow and these animals have no fear nor are their populations declining.
They used to come through all the time when I worked at Kuparuk. They had no issues walking through pads or camp areas and looking inside anything that was open.
