Both are finally done.

Top one is a build from Aero stripped upper and lower. 5.56, 4# trigger, Troy rail, Leupold 1-4 scope, Leupold base.
Bottom is a complete upper from Primary Arms and a S&W Lower w/ foward assist and 5# trigger. Troy rail, Burris M-tac and Burris Pepr mount.

I prefer the 300 but they both have their purposes. Nothing exotic...ironically I'm not a huge AR fan but figured everybody needs one or two. I'd still rather shoot my M1A Loaded with open sights over these but I'm not willing to beat up my M1A in the brush so the 300 goes hog hunting with me.

I've shot 'em both (swapped handguards recently...which made them "finished").
The 300 shoots a little better than the 5.56 does for me, but the 5.56 is set up for heavy bullets and I usually shoot 62gr through it...and its chrome lined and only have about 100 rounds through it so it needs to be shot more to break it in good.
When I started the 5.56 I thought I wanted a "match" rifle so got a barrel for 77gr and such...but have since changed my mind so "it is what it is".

I also wanted a "match 1x7" barrel but after much research I dont plan on shooting anything more than 62gr so I went with a 1x8 twist barrel which fits me more. I need to get some range time with my AR15 build.

Yeah I should have swapped barrels but its what I got and it shoots good enough. The 5.56 is going into storage anyways so its not like I'm gonna shoot it much at all. I could always handload some heavier stuff for it to shoot a bit better I suppose.
