A new stock might be the ticket. Check Boyd's for laminated wood (cheaper and still fairly weather resistant than synthetic) I'll never tell anyone not to upgrade their trigger ! I love timney but jewel and rifle basix are good as well. But you could just take what you've currently got and have fun as well. Good luck !
