The home invasion took place around 11 p.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of West Marshall. </p><p></p><p>The homeowner told officers a man with a gun forced his way into the house, and they got into a struggle. The elderly homeowner was shot in the hip and the suspect twice in the torso. Police believe the suspect in the home invasion has a punctured lung and severed spinal cord, records show. both men have been taken to the hospital.</p><p></p><p>Police said the homeowner also had a wound to his head from the assault.
