On my very first stent I thought I had acid reflux. I take medicine for that and I was out. The pharmacy said I haqd to have a doc's script and my doc was out of town. I parked away from emergency so as not to take a place for someone who needed a closer place. I walked in and told them I had heartburn and needed to see the doc to refill my script. I sat and waited 25 min. until I was called back. I knew the doc and as I went in I saw him and told him my doc was out of town. He call me to the desk and wrote the script. As I got ready to go one of the nurses suggested they take a BP and check me with a heart monitor. I sat down in the chair and woke up the next day with a stent. generally the worst heartburn you have ever had is a heart attack I've been told. Sure worked for me. Now I know how they feel. I've had plenty of experience.
