You can always look at the county govt site and see who is buying. I just bought in Ardmore, pop 30k, and I doubt that any large institutional money would buy in a city of that size. I would guess that large institutional investor would want a larger, fluid market of at least 200k population. That is just my wild guess. I have heard the same thing and my personal belief is that they see the storm coming and are investing in hard assets that are recession hedges.I've been reading a lot of the information about institutional money flowing into single family homes. Is there any way to determine the level of their involvement locally? This seems scary to me on a couple fronts.
