SD pistol match 9am Sat. SSSC

At Sand Springs Sportman's Club we have a Self-defense pistol match at 9 am Saturday morning.

This is a fun and easy event to shoot. You only need 50 rounds of ammo and the targets are close: 5, 7 & 9 yards. Any centerfire pistol is fine from 2" barrel .32 to full size .45s and everything in between. The shots are all fired standing still at a stationary target and we only fire 5 shots at a time so it is totally neutral for revolvers or autos.

The entry fee is only $5, and you can win it all back plus a couple of dollars if you have the highest score. Any type of ammo is fine since we are shooting paper targets. This match is a good way to get out and shoot that defense pistol a bit and get better with it. The event is very casual and low key, but safely run by a range officer.

This match is the first Sat every month, there is a different match every Sat morning: Mil. Bolt, Lever Action, Slow pistol, Rapid pistol etc.
