I hear you. Growing up in the late 60s and early 70s, the achievements in space flight were amazing. I saw an Apollo launch from a few miles away and will never forget how awesome it felt to feel the ground shaking during launch and the sight of sending men to the moon.

Seeing launches live is an awesome experience. I got to see the first shuttle launch after the Challenger disaster. I had to brace myself when the sound wave hit. What an experience it was!
