Straw purchases: But we need more gun laws?

As the following two cases prove, the lib dem's wanting more gun law/legislation is nothing but pure Bravo Sierra. They won't even enforce the existing laws or they make a mockery/travesty of the law in handing out sentences/convictions for violations of the gun laws already on the books.

I see felon in possession charges filed in state court all the time. For some reason the feds are not taking over the prosecutions where the punishment is much more severe. I wonder why. I do have my suspicions. I remember when there was a publicity campaign where the feds claimed if you are a felon and get caught with a gun, we are going to do you.

Of course we need more laws. If no one can buy a gun, no one can buy them for someone else.
