My wife has been out of town this week so I've run the AC higher since I'm gone during the day. My setting, day and night, has been 75. However, she returns Sunday afternoon so I'll have to reset the thermostat early enough to pre-cool the house to 70 when she arrives. If it doesn't get there, she'll walk in and wonder if the AC died while she was gone. The house was new in 2009 yet could probably stand some more insulation in the ceiling. The office is another story. My area has four offices and we get a "meat locker" effect where there are times in the spring where a jacket feels good in the office. Even earlier this week as the heat was building, it still chilled the office so much that it felt kind of good to step outside to go to lunch to thaw out. A recent office move has placed a woman in the space that was previously only men so I'm sure there will be much fussing about the temperature.
