Interested in having a M&P 15-22 barrel threaded for an imitation can [one from cheaper than dirt, unless someone has anothe source].Is there anyone in the Tulsa area that can do this & what should I expect to pay ?

Might have better luck in Rifle & shotgun forum. Not really an NFA thing.

This is for my sons gun & wanted it just for the tacti-cool factor.

To each his own, but I wouldn't waste $30-50 on a fake can when you can buy a decent real can for around $200. It would actually be functional and a lot cooler when in use.

I kinda think of the fake cans like people who buy a V-6 Mustang and then put Shelby Cobra emblems all over it - I just don't understand why someone wants to spend money on false advertising...

Just my $.02.

this one from spikes is $38:
fake suppressor CAR1-a little ways down the page

It screws on at the front of the can so it doesn't add any length giving you an SBR look as well.

BTW: Mechanical Accuracy is your best bet for barrel threading unless Mike (olyeller-Accurate Iron) has his new equipt set up. I'm not sure if he was getting a lathe as well or just the new mill.

$200 for the can and $200 for a tax stamp. $400 compared to $38
