have shot a walther p22 in my backyard before, quiet enough, etc. 16" barrel on 10/22 suppressed......quickly figured out it ain't near quiet enough to pull this off.. Ok subsonic ammo, what else guys...this thing is not near what I was expecting...I know ammo is going supersonic, but how do you all get yours to shhhhhhhh? gemtech outback on 10/22. thanks. maybe just a little quieter than not suppressed and that is good as it gets?

Bulk pack only stays subsonic in barrels shorter than about 4.5 inches. It doesn't stay in the short barrel long enough to get up to supersonic velocity. Beyond 5-6 inches in a barrel and it will (at least should) go supersonic.

I've shot Aguila SSS in my Buckmark with a Pilot. It wasn't any quieter than CCI standard velocity and accuracy wasn't on par. The empty brass made a very cool looking spiral smoke contrail as it ejected though. :)

does anyone shoot that SSS aguila.. I have heard folks concerned about baffle strikes.

The problem with the SS is that you need a really agressive twist in your barrel to get that round to stabilize 100% of the time. If you run a standard .22 barrel, the chance that one of those little dudes will eventually come out with some yaw is pretty good (and then you'll get a baffel strike).
