Just wondering what the difference in the checks are between a can and you ccw? is there any difference?

If you are asking about what is different in the background checks that they run, I doubt there is any difference. If you can get a CCW approval you will get approved for an NFA item.

NFA? or ATF?

NFA is the Act (or series of acts) which keeps its fat thumb on top of us gun owners, telling us what we cant own, and what we have to pay taxes on to own. IMO, most, if not all are complete violation of 2A.

ATF isnt involved in a CCW/CCL, that is your local BI (OSBI for Oklahoma), unless you are talking about purchasing a CCWeapon, then its just the 4473/Background check.

The ATF, I think, check to make sure the means by which you are acquiring a C3 items are legit (Trust/LEO signoff/fingerprints/Corporation). A background check. And then I think they twidle their thumbs for a couple of months to just make you anxious.
