I'm already registering one of my ARs as a SBR. My question is, if I get a full auto lower, would I have to pay an extra $200 to SBR it too, or is it ok to put a SB on a registered Auto lower?
Awesome. Thanks!
Machineguns have no barrel restrictions, so you would not need to SBR it also.
Just make sure it's a registered FA Lower & not a RDIAS of LL.
If it's a RDIAS or Lightning Link, you'll have to register the lower for an SBR.
No problem. Just to get you motivated, here is my 12.5" M-16.
What made you decide on a 12.5?
Usually you see SBR's in a 14.5, 11.5, 10.5 or a 7.5 configuration.
In my opinion, the 14.5" is fine, but I wanted to go shorter. The 7.5" and 10.5" are really hard on suppressors, so I wanted to go 11.5" or 12.5". I finally picked the 12.5" due to increased velocity, more dwell time and easier on the suppressor than the 11.5" while only giving up 1" in length. I also went with the fixed stock because to me they just seem so much smoother in full-auto operation than any of the collapsible stocks (and I have tried plently of those).
