I've bought several surpressors in the past but,never a SBR. I'm building it myself on a Sig upper and lower. Will I have to register the lower on the NFA form? Is there a website to download the forms? Do I need a Class 3 dealer or can I do all of it myself? Help!

with n SBR, you can do it yourself. Form 1 from the BATFE website.

I'll find the link

Maybe there's a mouse in your pocket?

Quick question for you Jeff, and sorry to hijack the thread, but have you ever had trouble having the police chief sign off on it? I want to go down the sbr/suppressor road, but I want to be able to expect any snags that I might see.

TRUST. No CLEO sign-off required. Pretty sure thats what Jeff used.

And to go into more detail:

Trust or Corporation = No CLEO sign-off.
Individual = CLEO sign-off.

If you want to do a trust, do a little reading on NFA trusts or go talk to one of our great CIII dealers. You can do a corporation, but I think it would be a hassle with all the tax paper work you have to file all the time.

I went the trust route, which bypasses the CLEO sign-off, fingerprints, pictures, etc.
If you're really thinking of getting into NFA, a trust is a must. (sorry, didn't mean to sound like dr. suess there.)
